Paul Matthew Sereni

Paul Matthew Sereni age 75, died peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, at his home on Tybee Island Georgia. Paul was born in Trenton, New Jersey, the son of Leon and Dorothy (McShea) Sereni on September 22, 1949.  The couple later had another son, Joseph Sereni.  Paul was educated in the Trenton public schools and went on to receive his BS in Biology from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

In 1979, Paul married the former Anne Stephenson of Wilmslow, England.  The two met in Philadelphia, where they were both living and working.  Paul became stepfather to Sophie (Gunn) Curtis.  He retired in 2020 from over 50 years as a sales manager of scientific and laboratory equipment, lastly as Regional Sales Manager with Caron Products.  Paul and Anni moved to Tybee Island in 2001 and enjoyed living on the coastal island.  He volunteered at the lighthouse and joined a local birding group.  Paul loved to take morning walks along the beach and collect shells.  Paul and Anni loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and Alaska.

Paul leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Anni, his stepdaughter Sophie, and son-in-law, Andy Curtis of Franklin, TX.  His brother, Joseph, and sister-in-law, Jennifer of Gilmanton, New Hampshire; nephews Brandon, Gregory, and Nicholas and niece Hailey. Anni very much loved Paul and misses him; she will plan a Celebration of Life for Paul in the coming months.
